Across the continent of Abya Yala (the land of eternal blossoming from North to South America)
The original peoples of Abya Yala inhabit diverse ecological territories that complement and sustain one another, forming a vibrant mosaic of life and interdependence. For these communities, the land is not an inert object, but a living sacred being. They have shared not only trade goods, but also a common history of resistance, resilience, and spiritual continuity. Through this shared path, they have woven their diverse worldviews into a unified vision: a collective call to reconnect with Mother Earth — not as a commodity, but as a living source of wisdom, whose presence is vital for the healing and regeneration of our planet.
Kako Earth was born as a response to this shared reality. Its purpose is clear: to strengthen bioregions through Indigenous leadership by facilitating access to the resources needed to protect traditional knowledge, restore ecosystems, and sustain community-led autonomous projects.
What Do We Do?
We live in a time marked by multiple crises: climate, economic, and spiritual. These crises are accelerating the loss of biodiversity, fraying the ecological fabric, and deepening the spiritual emptiness in modern society. Now more than ever, there is an urgent need to build alternative models for living.
In this context, the Indigenous nations of Abya Yala represent a reservoir of ethical and communal wisdom. Across generations, they have sustained social, spiritual, and territorial ways of life that offer deeply rooted, sustainable responses to the challenges we face today.
Yet many communities lack the means to bring their own solutions to life. The absence of funding, disconnection from global support networks, limited intercultural communication platforms, and the imposition of external systems have all constrained their capacity to implement the solutions.
Kako Earth exists to build bridges. We do not intervene from above but accompany from within, recognizing that true regeneration is born from autonomy, from ancestral knowledge, and the living relationships with Mother Earth.
Vision
Kako Earth envisions a world in which the Indigenous Nations of Abya Yala, united in sovereignty and spirit, have access to the resources they need to protect and regenerate their ancestral wisdom and the biodiversity of their bioregions. We build bridges and alliances that support a future where living cultures and ecosystems thrive in harmony.
Mission
Kako Earth exists to support the empowerment of Indigenous communities in the protection of their ancestral knowledge, territories, and ecosystems through strategic alliances. We weave bridges of resources that strengthen autonomy projects focused on the care and regeneration of bioregions.
How Does Kako Earth Work
Our work is rooted in direct and circular collaboration with Indigenous leaders, spiritual councils, allies and territorial elders. We engage with processes already alive in the communities, strengthening initiatives such as:
Ecological restoration and reforestation
Creation of healing centers using traditional medicine
Educational projects centered on Indigenous cosmovisions
Spiritual, legal, and territorial defense of sacred sites
Food sovereignty and cultural regeneration programs
We also promote interterritorial networks, bioregional gatherings, documentary productions, and publications that amplify these voices and visions on both continental and international levels.
A Call from Mother Earth
We stand at a crucial moment. Humanity is searching for new ways to relate to the Earth and to one another. On this path, Indigenous wisdom is not a relic of the past, but an essential guide for our future.
Original Peoples remind us that the territory is a living being, that water is sacred, that medicine lives in the plants, that time is circular, and that true balance comes only when we live in reciprocity with all beings.
Kako Earth is committed to that vision a earth regenerated from the roots, where ancestral wisdom is integrated with contemporary action for collective healing.
We are not just an organization; we are a deep call to collaboration across cultures, generations, and territories. This is an invitation to regenerate the world through the living knowledge of those who have walked alongside the Earth since the beginning of time.
